There was a porn battle comm on insanejournal, a different porn battle not run by oxoniensis, which used the fill-in-comments method and posted masterlists at the end of each round. For example:

which is just putting links in a normal post, not having to code whole website pages. So the fill-in-comments method can work even without a separate website.

I mention this because I personally kinda prefer using comments and I sort of think other people might prefer it too, if only because it's familiar/what people are used to and comfortable with, but hey, it's your battle, your comm, your rules, so I'll abide by them.
